Trip to Toulouse, France

Instead of our traditional in-between semester reunions, my boyfriend and I got the change to be together in the Spring of 2026 in Toulouse, France. He is in engineering school there which gave me another opportunity to see a French city from his local perspective and to meet new friends and reconnect with old ones that we both studied abroad with in Australia. Except for an eight day trip to Spain, we spent about a month trying to maximize our time in “La Ville Rose.” If you’re taking a trip to France’s fourth most populous city, I hope this travel guide can help to close the gap on your plans!

• Tisséo public transport. We mostly used the train system and I bought a reloadable bus/metro card.

  • Tisséo has an app called vélô Toulouse that you can use to rent bikes around the city for super cheap.
