Split, Croatia
Come to Croatia with us for our first time! We spent a full week in the charming city of Split and luckily stayed in an apartment just a 15-20 minute walk from the waterfront. We quickly had some of the best brunches, pizza, and gelato and paired our daily duty of seeking out the best restaurants with finding new beaches to lounge at. Whether you prefer a more chill vacation or one that’s activity-packed, Split needs to make it on to your travel bucket list. Check out our YouTube vlog here for the real behind the scenes and close-ups on everything! If you can, try to go in the off-season (outside of July) so it’s less crowded and consider renting a car, too, to be able to see more of the city.
Our host was so sweet and detail-oriented about everything! She stocked the apartment with free food, water, and even sunscreen. We arrived a day late due to flight delays and she was so flexible and welcoming when we arrived. We definitely recommend staying here!
Activities:
If you’re more a “I like to avoid the tourists” traveler, this private boat tour is perfect. This was the main event to celebrate my boyfriend’s upcoming 21st birthday, and it was so relaxing. We went to the infamous Blue Lagoon in between two more hidden gem spots and got to snorkel throughout.
Beaches:
Bene
We really wanted to go here, but the Marjan Forest Park that this lies inside was closed due to storm damage. You have to walk some to get to this beach due to limited road traffic allowed in the park, but it seems absolutely beautiful and worth it!
